compassionate health care to those in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
Bronx-Lebanon is the largest voluntary, not-for-profit health care system
serving the South and Central Bronx, with 970 beds at two major hospital
divisions; a major psychiatric facility; two specialized long term care
facilities; and an extensive “BronxCare” Network of medical practices,
including the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center; as well as a 51-unit
housing facility for seniors and low income residents.

90 bed Highbridge Woodycrest Center are providing quality long term health care to residents with HIV and AIDS. It is integral part of the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center Health Care System. At the Highbridge Woodycrest Center, a full range of programs, including medical, nursing, psychological, substance abuse and nutrition services are offered.

Lutheran Medical Center

Lutheran Medical Center is founded in 1883, is a 462-bed academic teaching hospital offering a complete range of services including a N.Y.S. designated Stroke Center, state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory, award winning orthopedic program, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and one of the busiest emergency departments and Level I Trauma Centers in Brooklyn. As a social ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the medical center is committed to excellence and culturally competent care.
Since 2002, food service operations at the Lutheran Medical Center are run by ARAMARK. The food service department produces food to the patients of the hospital utilizing cook chill system. Additionally, freshly cooked breakfasts and lunches are offered to the guests, medical students and employees at the Lutheran Café.
